About Lisa

Oscar Wilde said ” To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people just exist.”

Hi, I am Lisa and I am a lover of all things travel.

I want to go to the to the remote corners of the world. Explore the lives of people, discover commonalities and celebrate uniqueness. I strongly believe that there is a deep connection between people and the places they inhabit. Through my travels I want to uncover the untold stories of this relationship.

A true traveler does not only travel but inspires others to do so as well. With this intent in mind I started this blog in 2010. I know every traveler sees the world differently. But I hope to inspire others through my writing.  I want to show them my point of view and hope that it will motivate them to go out and discover their own point of view. After all there is always adventure out there!

I have learnt more on the road than I did within the four walls of a  classroom. The world to me  is an open air school where you play both the role of a teacher and a student. Although truth be told, I have learnt far more than I can ever hope to teach.

In my blog you will find personal narratives of people in their places, of my travel misadventures, notes on this and that and general musings. I hope you enjoy reading my posts.

Come see the world through my eyes;  Come listen to the untold stories of remarkable people.
