The view from the Washington monument

When I went to school in Georgia tech, Atlanta, the Office of International Education organised a trip to Washington. We went to all the monuments( and there are a lot of them), even to the White house(unfortunately no pics!). But the best part of the trip for me was climbing to the top of the Washington memorial early morning. I spend fifteen minutes atop the memorial watching the capital city come alive. If you are in DC I would recommend doing this. If you not in DC well no worries, here are pictures from my trip (way back in 2008).

  1. The second last photo is the Lincoln Memorial. The Washington monument is where we ended up after riding across the country. I remember these views quite vividly.
