Rest for weary feet

Probably a traveler’s greatest bliss at the end of the day is a roof above his head and a place to rest his tired feet. Here is a selection of places where my tired feet have found solace.

# International Youth Hostel, Exeter, UK

Snug amidst green fields, but far from the city centre.

YHA, Exeter

# Hotel Voltaire, Paris

A budget hotel ideally situated in between metro stops. The room was just about large enough for me and my bags.

Hotel Voltaire Republique

# Cat’s Hostel. Madrid

A very interesting hostel. It is teeming with people from all parts of the world. If you are in Madrid, rest your feet here!

Cat's Hostel

# Motherwell, Scotland

An amazing house with an even more amazing host. This was home away from home.

Residence of Alistair McDonald, Scotland

# Isle of Skye Backpackers, Isle of Skye

A cosy hostel with an amazing view of a loch and with a cute skylight .

Isle of Skye Backpackers

# Lake District Backpackers, Windermere, UK

An emailed security door code, an honesty box, a generous breakfast and an almost private  hostel; all in one.

Lake District Backpackers

# Bora Bora, Nairobi, Kenya

A green mosquito net and a blue sleeping bag spread out on a wooden bed; What a wonderful respite!

Residence of Maggie Nyabate, Nairobi, Kenya

# Mara fig tree tented camps, Maara, Kenya

Redefining tents! Wake up to birds chirping or wake up much earlier thanks to the Hippos playing in the river below you!
